It’s been a while since I’ve written, and I have plenty of big news for you today…
The ‘Sisters for Sale’ documentary is now available to watch online, and I’m really excited to announce the launch of our second book, ‘Suspicious Minds’!
Details below…
The ‘Sisters for Sale’ documentary
This month, for the first time, our acclaimed, multi-award-winning documentary ‘Sisters for Sale’ has been shared online on an ongoing basis.
If you haven’t yet seen the film (or want to see it again!), you can find ‘Sisters for Sale’ right here.
Here’s what audiences have said about ‘Sisters for Sale’:
“Beautiful, amazing, breathtaking! I was utterly blown away by this documentary.” – Nora Dunn
“Incredible – my perspective of the world changed forever.” – I.P.
“Amazing… ‘Sisters for Sale’ is an absolute must-watch.” – Simone Taylor
You can now choose between multiple caption settings, and we’ll be gradually adding more languages to the film in the coming weeks.
Our first book: ‘Every Stranger’s Eyes’
For the past 2.5 years, I’ve been writing the unique and fascinating story behind ‘Sisters for Sale’. We were able to fit only a fraction of that story into the documentary itself, and it has been wonderful to finally tell it properly.
The first part of that story, ‘Every Stranger’s Eyes’, was released as an ebook last December, with the physical book launch this March interrupted by the pandemic. Nonetheless, the response has been fantastic, and the book was featured this month via ‘Books+Publishing’.
Here are some of the testimonials ‘Every Stranger’s Eyes’ has received:
“Without a doubt one of the most fascinating stories I have ever read.” – Judith Cooper
“Oh My Goodness! It was amazing… This story stole my heart.” – Jillian Swisher
“I was fascinated with the documentary but your book really harnessed the passion and emotion you have. I can’t even begin to tell you how inspiring it is – I couldn’t put it down, I was riding a wave of excitement the whole time. Thank you… You’re an inspiration.” – Ryan Hunt Wescott

Our second book: ‘Suspicious Minds’
To be honest, I was surprised (and delighted!) what a powerful response the first book received. It’s quite a simple story compared to the second book, which covers the investigation at the heart of the story.
The second book, ‘Suspicious Minds’, has just been made available. This was a much more complex and challenging book to write than the first, and I’m really proud of the finished result. (Again, there hasn’t been a physical book launch due to the pandemic!)
Here’s what has been said about ‘Suspicious Minds’ by early readers:
“I was ecstatic to read so many amazing stories of strong women. I was covered in goosebumps or close to tears so many times. I loved it, and genuinely could not put it down.” – Brittnay Mayhue
“It reads like a captivating thriller – only everything is real!” – Sifis Zervoudakis
“It’s beautifully written, and makes the reader feel they are watching a puzzle being solved piece by piece… I love it!” – Michael Brosowski
How to buy the books
Both books are now available from major online booksellers around the world. These third-party sites, however, pass on only a tiny fraction of the proceeds to support our work.
By cutting out the middleman, you can get the book cheaper, faster, and help us make a bigger difference against human trafficking.
If you’re in Australia, you can now order the books as paperbacks directly from our website. (In the coming weeks, we’ll be covering more regions including the US!)
Our website is also the best place to order the ebooks, wherever you are in the world.
As a special bonus, until Tuesday 15th September, all sales of the ebooks or paperbacks through our website will receive half-price access to the documentary.
For regions we don’t yet reach ourselves, we have relationships with Blackwells and Booktopia (which increase the support we receive without increasing the cost to yourself), or you can find the books through other major online booksellers.
Moving forward
For the past 7.5 years, we’ve relied on donations from individuals like yourself to continue our work with ‘The Human, Earth Project’. It’s incredible that we’ve come so far together.
We’re now working to transition to a more sustainable model, where we’re able to offer our documentary and books to the public instead of just asking for donations.
This year has been a strange and challenging time for us, as it has been for many individuals and organisations around the world, and receiving funding to continue our work is just as important as ever.
We’d love your support to make this new model a success, so that we can keep doing this work. If you can help, your support is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for being part of this journey,
– Ben
